Cold joining

We do not weld aluminium. Every joint in a Vantera monocoque is either riveted or structurally bonded, cured at 180 degrees in a single oven cycle. It is slower than welding and it is why our body-in-white torsional stiffness is 41,000 Nm per degree.

The line runs at a deliberate pace. There is no night shift. When a car is not right it leaves the line and returns to the same station with the same team, which is only possible at our volume.
